Eiffage Énergie Systèmes helps extend the Würth France production and logistics site in Alsace
Würth France has decided to build an extension comprising three buildings at its Erstein site (67), to meet unprecedented growth in orders. This vast project, known as Evolog 2030, was the subject of an initial contract divided into lots. Würth France awarded the electrical contract to Eiffage Énergie Systèmes and the structural contract to Eiffage Construction. A new consultation is underway to support the growth of this specialist in professional tools and hardware.
Würth France is modernizing its production facilities and increasing its logistics and warehousing capacity by adding three new buildings to the existing ones at its Erstein site in Alsace:
- A shuttle building for automated product storage,
- A functional building for order preparation,
- A building reserved for shipping, equipped with twelve truck docks.
Our electrical engineering experts worked on the high and low voltage facilities for two years, from April 2022 to April 2024. They installed two new MV delivery substations (including looping) and the new Evolog and Energy transformer substations, as well as handling electrical distribution and indoor and outdoor lighting equipment, connected to the BMS. In addition, they installed the fiber optic loop and the IT and Wi-Fi network, equipped the various workstations, deployed access control and an anti-intrusion system, and set up the fire protection system.
“Before we took on this major project, Würth France used to call on us regularly to do small jobs. We were able to win their confidence and demonstrate our know-how through the quality of the work we carried out. The smooth running of this project may well be a good omen for the future of the Evolog venture,” enthused project manager Mathieu Bohn.
Since Würth's ambition is to further develop its production and logistics site by creating a second, fully robotized shuttle building, a new consultation is underway to award the contracts associated with this extension project. Our experts undoubtedly have a card to play!
