Clemessy installs a PV solar farm for ABC Industrie’s self-consumption, in Peyrolles-en-Provence
ABC Industrie, which has s
pecialized in the manufacture of cooked hams since 1950, commissioned Clemessy to build a 246 kWp ground-mounted solar power plant on a turnkey basis. The plant is located in Peyrolles-en-Provence (13) and will produce renewable energy for the company’s own consumption.
The green energy produced by ABC Industrie’s PV solar plant will be used entirely for self-consumption. It will enable the company to reduce its energy bill, make the most of the dedicated land area (the factory roofs are not usable) and cope with any power cuts during peak winter consumption.
The solar farm installed by our experts is made up of 585 440-Wp modules fixed to ballasted ground mounting systems, and two 110 kVA inverters. The facility will produce around 350 kWh per year, enough energy to provide electric heating for around forty 100 m2 houses.
The project kicked off in August 2022. It began with Clemessy filing the application for planning permission, which was reviewed by the town planning department. Work started in January 2023 and was completed in March.
ABC Industrie’s PV solar farm has been generating 3% of its annual electricity consumption since 20 April. This project, which is fully in line with the company’s CSR approach, is a model of energy transition adapted to industry. A similar solution for towns and local authorities has been developed by Expercité.
